Petroglyph House
Built on the westside at the edge of the Petroglyph National Park, overlooking Albuquerque, this 2,600 square foot home with an interior courtyard has incredible views of the city as well as the Sandia Mountains. The courtyard features a steel stairway leading to an east facing deck. The home incorporates a number of energy saving items, including cellulose insulation, energy saving kitchen appliances, water saving plumbing fixtures as well as a geo-thermal heating and cooling system. These efforts resulted in the home receiving a Silver Level Green Home certification. Designed by Sam Sterling Architects, photographed by Kirk Gittings.
